Very worth it. It’s warm, welcoming and my family felt welcome there, which as a black family can often not happen, especially out in the more rural areas and islands. The food was really good, good proportions, extremely well prepared, the menu selection was well done, not pretentious but diverse enough for all eaters. Staff was excellent and kind. One of the best reasons to visit the island. Will be back. I recommend earlier in the day before it gets too busy.

Already planning our next visit back. Delicious food, great ambiance and outstanding service by Anna. Did not want our lunch to end. My husband said it was the best steak he has had and my linguini and clams were just perfect. So fresh and my new favorite dish.

Blue Heron has excellent staff. Great bar and food. There is a new fresh sheet out. The spinach dip was awesome. Going to stay open later this spring!!

This is a popular eatery on Camano Island. A local friend recommended it but advised making reservations early. We were grateful for that tip; it was super busy! The smoked salmon chowder was almost thick enough to eat with a fork - and delicious! The jambalaya was perfectly spiced and full of Andouille sausage, large prawns, and chicken. The parmesan-crusted cod was also a winner. Our meal choices didn't include alcoholic beverages, so plan to spend more if you indulge! 😋

Five stars, easy. Blue Heron is hands down one of the best spots on the island. The food is next-level and surprisingly good for Camano. The whole place nails that vibe of feeling upscale without being stiff, classy but still warm and cozy. Everything we had was cooked perfectly, and you can tell they actually care about what they’re putting on the plate. Some of the nicest, most respectful, and caring service staff. Definitely a go-to.

We happened to be out for a drive and ended up near Stanwood. We decided to go to the Blue Heron kitchen and bar and had the best experience! The ambience, service, and food were amazing! Our table was near the window with a great view of the pond. It happened to be happy hour so some of our choices were from the happy hour menu. We shared the bacon wrapped dates, salmon BLT, and the Salmon&Cod Katsu. All were amazing! We will be back!

The Blue Heron Kitchen & Bar draws a local crowd that has made an effort, and the room has the kind of relaxed confidence that comes with knowing the neighbourhood is behind you. Service is attentive and reads the table well, knowing when to engage and when to step back is a skill, and the staff here have it. The menu leans into Pacific Northwest strengths. The salads are fresh and local, and the house salad in particular is one of those simple things done right, which is rarer than it should be. The Caesar holds up too. Among the mains, the Parmesan-crusted Pacific cod was the table favourite, the marinated flank steak was flavourful and well-sized, and the ahi tuna special delivered on every count. A birthday at the table brought out a server who picked the right moment and the right dessert, a candle in a well-chosen slice of chocolate cake, shared by everyone. Small gesture, long memory.

After a long day of exploring, we came across this place. I'm so glad we did. The food here is so delicious. I highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates. They were so good that we ordered a second plate to take home with us. The fish and chips and the steak are spot on, as well. The atmosphere of the place is laid back and the service is good. I definitely plan on coming here again when we are in the area.

I took my two friends for their birthdays. We sat outside and, although it was a bit chilly, it was lovely. The inside seemed a little loud so we were glad we sat outside. Our waitress was wonderful ( unfortunately I didn't get her name). The food and drinks were excellent. My steak was perfectly cooked and the seasoned fries were a hit. We had the bacon wrapped dates and they were perfect. Great and generous drinks. Would definitely recommend and hope to return next we're in Camano. Loved that dogs were allowed on the patio.

Blue Heron is a charming casual upscale restaurant serving a refined menu paired with interesting and well-executed cocktails. We enjoyed our late afternoon lunch on the pet friendly deck overlooking an idyllic pond and farmland view. We highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!
